The Hearty Brew is a sad reminder of the damage the reclaimers caused. The once-red roof is marred with acidic pockmarks, and the windows that normally twinkle with multicolored light sit dark. But out in front of the building, the people of Spire still sparkle with life. Under a large, newly constructed awning, food and drink are being prepared and served to those working on Spire’s reconstruction. Even though the tavern itself is unusable, the crowd is as lively as ever, bustling with conversation around a buffet laden with the usual wonderful-smelling delights.
